Becoming a driving instructor in the Barrow in Furness area offers you the opportunity to earn money teaching people to drive allowing you to work flexible hours that suit you.

Topgear teach Driving Instructors throughout Cumbria and Lancashire and welcome motivated people into their team of Driving Instructors

In order to begin training to become a driving instructor you must meet a certain criteria as set by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, (DVSA).

For example

- Be at least 21 years old - Have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years.

If you meet the criteria set by the DVSA then you can start the process of becoming a driving instructor.

You will need to have a new criminal record check, even if you hold one already.

Advanced Driving

Our Advanced Driving courses will enhance your driving skills and teach you techniques for safety, reading the road, positioning, progress and defensive driving. We offer a half day or full day module which is tailored to your own specific needs enabling you to confidently drive on motorways and when conditions are not perfect. i.e. heavy rain and winter conditions.
Pass Plus

We can offer a Pass Plus course, which offers a further six hours of tuition in various conditions, including; night time and motorway driving. As well as helping you to gain confidence driving, this course may also save you money on your insurance and the cost may be subsidised by the local council if you are aged between 17 and 24.
Refresher Lessons

If you passed your test but didn’t start driving immediately, a couple of refresher lessons to go over things you have forgotten will get you comfortable behind the wheel again. This can be a great way to start driving if you have had a long break, i.e. studying at University and want to ensure you have the confidence and skills to drive your car.
